Cal-Adapt will continue to add new features, enhancements, and data sets. Here are some of the new items that we expect to implement in the coming months:
- New data sets
- Finer resolution downscaled climate data that aligns with IPCC’s Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) and better captures temperature extremes as well as distribution of precipitation
- Historical temperature and precipitation data (from 1915)
- Sophisticated, high-resolution representation of inundation risk associated with sea level rise and an extreme storm event in the Sacramaneto-San Joaquin River Delta
- New features
- API access to Cal-Adapt data
- Ability to aggregate climate data by a variety of new criteria (i.e., watersheds, Western Regional Climate Change Center “climate zones” for California, Political district boundaries, Regional water management boundaries, Census tracts, Census places… note that county-level aggregation is already provided)
- Bi-monthly newsletter
